Which Smartphone Should You Get?
Jimmy Chorisll | December 4, 2011It’s amazing how far we have come in the last few decades or so. What seemed impossible just a few years ago is a reality these days. Communications, for instance, has become a lot easier and a lot more accessible in the last few years. Mobile phones are in indispensible part of our lives these days. However, they came into existence – for the masses – just a few decades ago.
In fact, even when they were mainstream, they were used for mostly calling and messaging others. Today, they are so much more than that. You can make calls (of course!), manage your schedule, check and reply to your e-mails and do a whole host of other things. Some of the better smartphones have features that will simply blow you away.
It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that some of these smartphones are almost a mini computer. It would be understatement to say that it’s a all-in-one multimedia device. They are an integrated music player, camera, compass, alarm clock, to-do manager, etc. They just do everything. It can help you find a location on a map, surf the Internet, create to-do lists and reminders for yourself.
The HTC evo is blessed on the technical front too. You will find 1 GB RAM along with a 8MP camera. The touch screen is rather large at 4.3 inches. These specs would suffice for just about everyone. The phone works on the latest version of the Android OS, the Gingerbread. Oh, and yes, it does fit into the pocket, even though the screen is larger compared to other smartphones.
The accessories are also readily available. So, if you want to extend the memory, you’ll find the appropriate accessory on the Internet. Similarly, if you want an extended battery for HTC evo, you’ll find it too. You can find these evo extended battery on the Internet at will. They should be available at your local store too.
There are other smartphones in the market too. Apple has the iPhone 4S, Samsung has a range of smartphones and so does Blackberry. HTC itself has many more smartphones that cater to buyers from all segments. Most of these are priced at $500 or below. As you can see, these are perfectly affordable for the masses.
The pace at which technology has evolved over the last few years has been stunning. Just a few years ago, these specifications were considered good for a computer. The road ahead also looks rather bright.
